The size of the fetus begins to grow gradually. When measured with the growth of the last week, it is seen that the fetus while four weeks pregnant has grown considerably within this short time. During pregnancy in 4th week, the fetus inside the uterus tries to implant itself in the uterine lining. After the implantation, the fetus stays like that for the rest of the period. The uterine lining grows stronger so as to help the baby stay protected.
4th weeks Pregnant shows cellular changes in the fetus. The nourishment provided to the fetus are by the help of the placenta and the umbilical cord. By these, the baby also gets it supply of oxygen. The organs too keep on developing at this stage. The vascular networks are formed in the embryo that are very important for the fetus to survive. The organs that have developed in the embryo are in its initial stages. The three layers of the embryo that are the ectoderm, mesoderm and the endoderm forms into various organs. Each develop independently inside the uterus.
Cramping & Baby Development During 4th Weeks Pregnancy
For the growth and development of the baby, it is very important for the mother to intake nutritious diet. The vitamins and other medicines prescribed by the doctors must be taken regularly during pregnancy in 4th week. The pregnancy hormone is secreted at a greater level in this phase of pregnancy. Four week pregnant women can experience problems like morning sickness, light headedness, dizziness and fainting. There are some who experience abdominal cramps and pains for short periods. The breasts tend to become sore and grow in size. Some gain weight and appetite. The increase in weight is not of the baby inside the uterus.
Pregnancy in 4th week brings about certain changes in the mother. She should maintain a very healthy diet and avoid junk food, alcohol and smoking. Self medication must be avoided as the drugs might be harmful to the fetus. Some show very evident signs of pregnancy while some show no symptoms at all. The physical and mental well being of an expecting mother is very important. If there are any complications seen in the pregnancy, the mother should be made aware of it in order to take proper care.
